It’s a pleasure to offer a truly fantastic Halstaff & Hannaford Regent Street London converted Jewellery box c.1890.  Halstaff & Hannaford were a high end box maker.  William Halstaff started the business in 1825 at Margaret Street and then moved the business to 228 Regent street London in 1842 where this box was made c.1890.  This box was originally a desk box but it’s now been fully converted to hold all Manner of jewellery including ring rolls to the sides.  The interior has been hand crafted and fitted by a professional carpenter to match the high end quality of the box itself.  The small red box inside is original and designed to fit perfectly in their compartment.  The red box sits on a small platform for easy removal.  We have intricate brass & pewter inlay following along the edging of the interior which is original to the box.

The exterior is just beautiful with full brass boulle work set in tortious shell surrounding the piece in great condition shown by the pictures.  It comes with a fully functioning lock and key and dates to Victorian 1890.
