An elegant Victorian pedestal desk made from a rich golden satinwood strung in dark ebony inlay throughout dating late Victorian c.1880. The writing top section consists of a large black leather section. The desk comprises of 11 deep drawers pulled out by large ebony wooden handles. The top right drawer reveals a stamped maker/seller stating “ S&H Jewells Litle Queen street St Holborn” The top right drawers comprises of many divisions for smaller objects. It’s a solid piece and made to a high standard coming apart in 3 pieces, two pedestals and the top desk section.
Condition: Usage marks you’d expect regarding age, a few stain marks on the leather. It’s been sympathetically restored and cleaned.
